Construction is underway at Six Flags Over Georgia as the park prepares for the massive, new-for-2019 Pandemonium swinging pendulum ride.Earlier this month, I was at the park and took some photos of the progress made so far.Pandemonium will be a striking addition to the park’s skyline as the pendulum swings 147 feet into the air, reaching a top speed of 70 mph. It will be the tallest of its kind in the Southeast. As shown in the satellite image above, Pandemonium will occupy the space formerly home to the Thomas the Tank-themed “Thomas Town” (later renamed Whistlestop Park).I’m a bit surprised that the ride will be set so far back from the midway (it will be built where the small train track is shown in the photo). The giant swinging pendulum will no doubt be a spectacle to watch.

Pandemonium centers around getting enemy multi-kills — a large number of kills in a short window of time. In addition to the usual burst of speed and experience players get for slaying multiple demons at once, there are now strange attacks that spawn in as well.At 15 kills, exploding chickens chase down enemy demons, and at 200 kills, treasure chests fall from the sky. There’s even a bonus for 1,000 kills in a short amount of time, although even the patch notes won’t say what the effect is. New seasonal rewards BlizzardThere are cosmetic rewards for competing this season as well.

The demonic horse and snowy profile frame are back from season seven. But there are also two new rewards.

Developer Note: One of the biggest pieces of feedback from Season 18’s buff was that the Triune bonus didn’t stick with your character while you adventured. With Season 19, we’ve altered course as well as upped the ante by experimenting with new mechanics to add an element of both chaos and power to the battlefield. It should feel a bit like Pandemonium, and it may be a consideration whether or not you want to reset your total kill streak for a particular killstreak bonus versus continuously maintain the overall effect (especially as the highest level killstreak rewards will be harder to leverage in situations like Greater Rifts).

Killstreaks with higher kill count requirements are more powerful, and we’re looking forward to seeing what players think of and do with them!. The buff for Season 19, the Season of Eternal Conflict, has been added.
